Kaleb Redden serves as the Deputy Chief Digital & Artificial Intelligence Officer for Policy, leading a team focused on driving DoD's adoption of data, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI).

Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Redden served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, leading efforts to develop DoD’s strategy for countering unmanned systems. From 2022-2024, he served as the United States Deputy Coordinator for AUKUS (Australia/UK/US) on the National Security Council (NSC) Staff. He also served previously in multiple roles in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), including as OSD’s Principal Director for Nuclear & Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Policy, Chief of Staff for the 2018 National Defense Strategy process, Director for Strategy, Director for Northern & Western Europe, Senior Coordinator for Iraq & Coalition Affairs, Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy and Principal Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, and as an advisor in DoD’s Partnership Strategy & Stability Operations office. Mr. Redden joined OSD as a Presidential Management Fellow. Prior to joining the Department, he also served as a Herbert Scoville Fellow at the Center for Nonproliferation Studies.

Mr. Redden holds an M.Phil in International Relations from the University of Cambridge, an M.S. in National Security Strategy from the National War College, and B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering, International Studies, and Political Science from North Carolina State University.
