About Industry Days

The CDAO is hosting a series of industry days to communicate with government and industry leaders the needs of the Department of Defense to spur innovation and scale AI and digital capabilities. The CDAO plans to host additional industry days in the future to deepen industry engagement and to build on Open DAGIR.

CDAO and DIU Host Joint Industry Day Focused on Speed-to-Scale Partnership

The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) and Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) recently held a joint industry day to highlight their "Speed-to-Scale" partnership, focused on rapidly scaling successful AI and digital solutions for the Department of Defense. This collaboration leverages DIU's prototyping successes and CDAO's scaling expertise, exemplified by projects like AI-powered translation and a talent marketplace platform, to quickly deliver advanced technologies from development to deployment.

Advana Industry Day

The Chief Digital & Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) hosted the Advana Industry Day on September 18, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, VA. The Advana Industry Day served as a collaborative event for the CDAO and its industry partners to engage in insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing. The event aimed to explore potential partnerships and opportunities for industry involvement in the ongoing enhancement and execution of the Advana platform. Advana is a common platform designed for mission owners, analysts, and data scientists to simplify more than 3,000 business systems.

GIDE Industry Insights Forum

The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), in partnership with the Office of Under Secretary of Defense Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) hosted the GIDE Industry Insights Forum on July 16, 2024. The Forum focused on the upcoming twelfth iteration of the Global Information Dominance Experiments (GIDE).
