Arlington, VA –
In support of the Secretary of War’s AI Acceleration Strategy issued on January 9, 2026, the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) announced the planned transition of the GAMECHANGER policy search capabilities to GenAI.mil, effective June 26, 2026. GenAI.mil is the Department of War's official enterprise artificial intelligence platform.
GenAI.mil is integrating GAMECHANGER’s data into its AI platforms starting with Gemini Enterprise. This move aligns with the Department’s active move toward an “AI-first” model by leveraging the growing adoption of GenAI.mil. Over 1.6 million Department personnel have used GenAI.mil, generating tens of millions of prompts and deploying hundreds of thousands of AI agents within its first six months of operation. Warfighters, civilians and contractors have put these capabilities to practical use right now, cutting many tasks from months to days.
GAMECHANGER is a pioneering, AI-supported search engine and analysis tool that holds more than 50,000 defense policy documents. GAMECHANGER enables users to search, discover, and understand defense documents quickly, often cutting research time from months down to hours.
CDAO is sunsetting the current GAMECHANGER application on June 26th, when users will have beta access to policy search capabilities through GenAI.mil, with full capability availability expected later in the summer.
