Mr. David Jin is the Acting Deputy Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (DCDAO) for the Enterprise Mission Area for the Department of War (DoW) within Research & Engineering (R&E). In this role, Mr. Jin is responsible for delivering a set of Enterprise AI capabilities that enable DoW service members, civilians, and contractors to execute their missions with greater effectiveness and efficiency.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Jin led the Department’s rollout of GenAI.mil. He previously led the AI Assessment and Assurance division within CDAO, where he developed a series of capabilities for AI test & evaluation and continuous monitoring, including the DoW’s generative AI and Large Language Model evaluation approach.
Mr. Jin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Philosophy and a Master of Science in Mathematics, both from the University of Michigan.
